End Of Month

Well its the end of the month and thought I would do a quick update on how I'm doing mostly at 200nl,

At first I found quite hard but I stuck with it and now I have been quite a bit from it, I have had my biggest winning month so far in cash games :)... Also I have been playing in the 50k on gr88 which I think is a really good tournament value wise and manage to come 15th in it, was a bit unlucky in it really running QQ into KK :( but ah well my time will come.

I'm loving the poker static site there are some interesting people on these shows and some really good interview if you haven't been on the site yet I urge you to take a look, firstly I recommend to take a look at the zigmund interview it's really good, you won't be let down. http://www.pokerstatic.com/

I'm really excited about the world cup starting on the 11th shame England kinda sucked in there friendly vs Japan...but anyway I have faith :).

Well basically just a quick update,

I was feeling super confident at the start of the week and as I started reading a bit more of the book it made me think that I should start taking a few shots,

So a few days later I was still playing 100nl but I kinda played bad, so I took a day off and thought fuck it lets do it :p and today was the day. I think I played around 1.1k hands and finished $600+ up which is really good.

I must say though that I felt that I wasn't playing super good, I felt like I was the 1 who had to have the hand, maybe it was just that session where I just ran into a few hands, only time will tell.

Also I not totally comfortable with playing this amount yet, you would think this would get me to play a bit more nitty but nope lol bit more looser :)

The month is off to a good start I'm playing good as well, all I need now is not be so damn lazy and put in the time on and off the tables,

My new book came through the other day "Treat Poker Like a Business" by Dusty Schmidt I've read a few chapters of it and it seems pretty good and hopefully it will continue to be that way.

A couple of weeks back I did a interview for a magazine called DIG magazine, This was a good interview I liked it.

It was basically about how I became poker pro when I was at college and some other decisions I had to make. (for the full article use the link below)

we also played a HUPLO (heads up pot limit Omaha) match where the winner would get $50.00, to be honest he nearly had me at 1 point but he wasn't aggressive enough and let me back in, full match report from his side of things is in the article also.

Well apart from poker I haven't been up to much else, I have been looking to invest some money else where (nothing to do with poker) but I wouldn't know where to start. If you have any suggestions then I'm willing to listen.

I may do some live video on the 50k gr88 tourney, I get bored with tourneys way too easy so it might help me focus a bit more.
