Home Game Online...and update.

This week has been kinda swingy and reminded me why I moved from PLO to NLH I'm still up for the month but it could of been a lot more, I'm not too worried I've just bought the book treat poker like a business by leatherass (would get his real name but really too tired just search the book if you want). This is the book I'm going to review first instead of the others.

This was kinda fun, the set up was 1 table of 10nl (250bb) deep ante tables with a few regulars that participate in a Skype group chat, we speak on a regular basis about hands and situations that occur within poker and a lot of the times we have some fun chat :).

The dynamics of this game where quite interesting a lot of 3 betting and 4 betting going on between us all, and I think most people where playing over a 30-45 vpip. Hopefully if everything goes all good we will have a in depth discussion about the game, as we are going to try and put all the HH’s together and hope to come up with a video with all hole cards exposed.

If your one of these people that play over 6 tables and you feel your not getting a lot better well I say now that playing fewer tables really helps you even after this 1st session where I only played 1 table well 2 in the end but they where with the same people, I felt like I learnt a ton. Your probably thinking “yeah I heard it all before” I was like that, when someone told me to cut down the tables, I used to shrug my shoulders as thought it would be boring. After today though I feel so much different with this approach, It allowed me to think a lot more through hands sometimes probably over think and level myself a bunch :P.

I really like playing good players with a understanding of the game, I probably play much better vs them then vs donks :). When I’m online playing I feel like I’m grinding a ton, I mean by this, playing 8 tables for a 2-4 hours on average per day and not really improving and just thinking everyone is a donk or doesn’t re4ally know what he/she is doing unless I have a reason like – I know who they are whether it be in person or from a forum. I mean that's what most people in poker want is to try and out think the best in the world, well as your probably thinking well I'm never going to get that far, well do the next best you can do and out think the better players at your limit and start beating them, then your 1 step closer.

One more little thing is that I played the Gr88 50k $109 tourney on Sunday was really good even though I bubbled :( with AA vs QQ

Few things

I've been trying to get into PLO much much more this month and I think its paying off , but I did suffer a bit of a down swing from the last time I updated. I played this guy who imo sucked quite a bit and I think I played a lot of hours before playing him.

A little note on the Pokerstars 250bb tables they are super good for No Limit Holdem people over value there hands way to much and stack off in situations where its not needed. I haven't quite mastered how to play the PLO deep tables yet but I think I will test the waters with that towards the end of the month.

Gr88 is going well did my first interview for them :) and I'm going to play a small HU match with the reporter, which should be good. I'm quite excited to be with them. don't forget to use the link up top to get rake back there and come play.

I'm planning to read a lot of books soon about poker, I the sort of person who starts a book and read a couple of chapters and then just put it down, well I'm going to try and read a few books and give a short review on them and how I rate them.

Here are a few books that I'm probably going to look at, Firstly I will look at The Theory Of Poker by David Sklansky and then probably move onto Daniel Negreanu's Power Hold em strategy.

other stuff, well I haven't done much this month my sleeping schedule has been horrible, I've been going to sleep in the day and waking up early evening :=p, As you may or may not know that I love football (Soccer) probably more than anything well firstly I played for a 6 aside team but my team got booted out of the league which was kinda disappointing, but I got a call to play for a 11 aside team starting in June/July which is exciting and I cant wait,

April has got off to a really good start,

I've started to play a lot more PLO and won a bit of money from it :) check the graph (click to view full graph),

think I've played relatively well normally I would go on auto pilot mode in PLO, but that hasn't happened yet :),

I'm really liking where I am at the moment sun is shining as well :) :)

Well I haven't played too much poker over the past few days because of the football and UFC, this is probably going to be the same over the weekend because of the huge weekend in football (Man Utd vs Chelsea come on United) and boxing Haye is defending his Heavy weight tittle which should be good.

March kinda sucked was on a down swing I did manage to log in about 80k hands though so not all bad hopefully April will be a better month :).
